I went through the remainder of college by using the PowerPoint notes method and having a written notebook for certain classes. I didn’t retain any information and was barely paying attention I was a stenographer for the professor.

So I would download the powerpoint and take typed notes under each slide as the lecturer went through the presentation. The next idea I had in my sophomore year was to go electronic. I needed a better solution for my notetaking. Inputting diagrams or charts from PowerPoint slides meant I had to print them off on paper, cut out the part I wanted, and stick it onto the page a huge waste of time and resources.

Easy to Lose or Forget – It’s a physical notebook so I would need to make sure I was bringing the right one to class (which I wouldn’t always do.) Also occasionally I would lose it in my apartment somewhere and would be really stressed because it had ALL of my notes.

I can look at Evernote from work (where I can't download the app), at home on my computer, on my iPad in the kitchen or on my Android phone or iPad in the store. I love it because there is a web clipper that I can use with Google Chrome and I just click on that to have the information from the web page I'm looking at imported into Evernote. Paula says:You can also use the web version of Evernote so you don't have to worry about it being outdated or out of sync with an operating system upgrade. I personally have it on both my iPhone and my MacBook. It is really amazing how many ways people are using Evernote for household management and home and life organization. Several readers have shared ideas and ways they use Evernote to help get their lives and homes organized below, from using the web clipper, meal planning, getting rid of paper clutter, tracking medications, and more.
